Reasons to be Here
Everybody has their own reasons to be here or not to be here at UW-Madison. The reason why I belong at Madison is because this is the college that I’m more expose to and the college my parents expects me to go to. It’s also because UW-Madison has what I need to succeed in life, including the friendly atmosphere and the career choices that are offer here. The main reason I know why I belong here at Madison is because it’s the school that everyone always talk about back home.
Madison has what I need to succeed in life and the careers that I am interested in. Madison offers me career choices in School of Pharmacy or School of Medicine and Public Health which has what I need. These choices will enable me to work as a pharmacist or a physician assistant. I belong in Madison because it has what I need to be able to support my family and the life that I have ahead of me so that I can prepare for it. Madison having these programs or majors gives me the reason to come here so that I can do what I will enjoy in my life.
Besides what Madison allows me to major, there are extra-curricular activities that are all over the campus of UW-Madison. There are Recreational and Sports which is consist of club sports. The most known is the Wisconsin Hoofers which they participate in outdoor activities such as hiking and other adventurous things. There are also student organizations which you can join to connect with people who share similar interest as you do. You can also volunteer around in Madison like tutoring because they have many volunteering programs. With all these extra-curricular activities, there are things I can do when I’m not studying which means I will never be bored with work. Madison is full with life and this is a reason I want to come to Madison to continue my education after I’m done with high school.
Madison is also a place where you can meet a lot of new people. Professors and students are always walking to classes and to different buildings. It is a good place to meet new people who share similar interest in the field you’re going major in. The atmosphere is good since I heard that the professors are nice and the students must be awesome because the counselors for People Program are awfully kind. With this friendly environment, I would like to be here at Madison to make new friends and build a better personality with the help of these people.
Other than these few reasons to come here to Madison for a better education, the city itself is pretty big with stores, malls and movie theaters. Especially the campus, it is always full with life because it is always alive near State Street and the UW union. The city has two malls which are located west side and the east side which is easy to go to if you live in the dorms because you’re right in the middle of the city. The city is filled with restaurants and you are able to see the state capital in Madison.
I truly believe that I belong at UW-Madison because I know why I want to be here. I want to be here at UW-Madison so that I can succeed in life so that I will not fall as easy as others. I want to create a better future and one that will help shape my personalities with the new friends that I will make and connecting with people who share similar interests.
